You don't need to put all the e-tivities, simulations, animations and video clips. As you stated, make it simple and elegant.johnseomavenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02997043451835279887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8018835.post-1432942506505532522011-07-15T11:15:22.696-05:002011-07-15T11:15:22.696-05:00Hi Andrew. I have noticed that a greater number of practitioners are turning their focus to student-to-student interaction and these same people are moving away from overloading learners with too much student-to-content interaction. I feel it's a refinement towards placing the learner first in the learning. It's not a tsunami in the e-learning community - only a small wave at this point. Time will tell where this goes.Eric Tremblayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16449748986197129918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8018835.post-58914246704843450772011-07-10T15:13:27.302-05:002011-07-10T15:13:27.302-05:00As a current Instructional Design student I find t...As a current Instructional Design student I find this post to bring up many valid points. First, I have to say that I agree that there has become a push for more information where information is not needed. I believe that all this extra information can do several things to the learners that can inhibit their ability to grow. I believe that it creates a form of anxiety within the students because the amount of information can just be overwhelming. I have found a site that does a great job at condensing theories and content into manageable chunks, http://tip.psychology.org/. Also, with the overwhelming amount of information given in a course finding the time to sort between relevant and irrelevant information can cause many problems. Many people who are e-Learners are on a tight schedule and do not have the luxury of time on their hands. By creating a simple, elegant form that focuses on the content can be very beneficial for all of those involved. Do you believe that there is a call of educational reform within the e-Learning community itself?Andrew Beanehttp://andrewbeane.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8018835.post-55173463168733603862011-06-14T05:43:13.188-05:002011-06-14T05:43:13.188-05:00Great work .....appreciableGreat work .....appreciableCleveland Web Designhttp://www.ocularconcepts.usnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8018835.post-77905764883322119812011-06-06T08:03:04.650-05:002011-06-06T08:03:04.650-05:00Great timing and thanks for validating my thoughts...Great timing and thanks for validating my thoughts. Just this morning I was wondering why the online course I had just taken over was causing me such consternation.
